This article is designed to provide a bit of inspiration.
The project started when I had some black fabric that I wanted to use. I determined that it was sufficient for a jacket. You might notice that the lining is blue - because that's what I had in my stash at the time that I felt the urge to sew! But I also have an emboidery machine that needs some exercise. So I found one of the embroidery patterns in my stash, and selected a cute hummingbird motif. This is a basic jacket for the office. |

Really, the only tricky part was hooping the jacket front. There are two basic options:

After embroidering the motif, complete the jacket as usual. |

And the jacket embellishment is complete.
This is another subtle form of wearable art, and I had no problem wearing it to the office. |
